Technology Postcards
For this project, I wanted to practice illustrating things I'm weak at rendering. I find geometric shapes and hard-lined objects to be really frustrating to draw because of their rigidity! With older technology, I seem to have found a happy medium.
Older tech has more rounded edges, bumps, and quirky (maybe pointless) curves. These postcards explore those designs by creating a product-design-inspired postcard.
Kicks is a book that focuses on the design elements present in shoes of all kinds. But the book also serves as an exploration of design layout. Designing spreads with elements of text and image can become cluttered, but if you allow the presence of space, it becomes fluid.

This project was a great opportunity for me to hone my writing skills while also producing over 30+ shoes within a constrained time frame. Orchestrating all the elements of the book amounts to a quirky introduction to shoes.

Remember The Vikings
I was tasked with utilizing AI services to create a visual representation of both the question and answer provided as a framework. Vikings have always piqued my interest, so I set off on the project to shed light on these barbaric people of the past! Below you can see the question and answer given to the AI service.
This project was a great opportunity to not only draw vikings, but to implement design principles to go alongside those illustrations. The result is an informative, colorful visual representation of viking life as I imagine it.
Rock and Roll!
These two posters are created as fan made work for the musician Tash Sultana. Both posters are tackling two well known but widely differing styles: Psychedelic posters and Swiss posters.
With Tash Sultana in mind, I have manipulated her musical aesthetic to create a psychedelic rock and roll themed poster, and a more logical, geometric poster.
Cowboy Bebop Icons
These Cowboy Bebop icons were made to challenge myself in making icons.
Cowboy Bebop is a classic anime that has a nice collection of characters with bold personalities and objects associated with them.
The following icons have relevance to the show's characters, themes, and plot.
